How to Delete Riot Client From Your Computer

If you have installed any Riot game on your computer, and at the time of uninstalling the game you may have noticed that the Riot client is still present thereafter uninstalling the game from your PC. Well in this post, we’ll take a look at how to delete or remove Riot Client completely from a Windows PC or laptop.

Riot Client is needed to run and gather the initial resources for any Riot game like Valorant, League of Legends, and more. Riot client checks whether the device is connected to the internet or not before pushing the device’s CPU and other resources into starting the heavy games. Users can also browse and know about other games coming up or released by Riot through the client.

How to Delete Riot Client

Riot Client does not get installed on our PC as a normal software or application, that’s why it is not visible in the programs and features settings. To delete Riot Client we will need to delete its folder from the drive, here’s how:

Open ‘This PC’ or ‘My Computer’.
Now go to local disk C.
Now look for the ‘Riot Games’ folder there, and delete it.

That’s it the Riot Client will no longer be there on your PC, and if you try to open the Riot Client on your PC, it will show you the error as this program is not available. Later you can also delete the icon from the desktop window.

Why Delete the Riot Games Folder to Delete Riot Client

If you have currently any Riot games installed on your computer, then the game’s data & resources files are saved under local disk C>Riot Games. But when you will uninstall a game from your PC, the game’s data and resources files & folders will be deleted from the local disk C>Riot Games.

But there are chances that even after installing the RIot game (e.g. Valorant, League of Legends), the Riot Client will not get deleted or removed from your system, and that is becuase the Riot Client folder won’t get deleted as you uninstalled the game. In that case it beomes necessary to delete the Riot Games folder completely to remove the Riot Client app.
