How to Disable Annoying Accessibility Sidebar in Oxygen OS 12 OnePlus Phones

— March 3, 2022

Oxygen OS 12 is released and OnePlus users are receiving the updates. If you have recently got the OxygenOS 12 updater on your OnePlus phone, then you might find a new accessibility sidebar with two or more icons, but the sidebar or popup toolbar is not dismissable and there is no option available to disable it from the settings.

The Accessibility Sidebar tool has some options that users can use directly on any screen and over any application. Accessibility options have options like assistant, power options, volume control, brightness, quick settings, notification settings, screenshot, etc.

How to Disable Accessibility Sidebar Toolbar in OxygenOS 12

There is no direct options or setting to disable the accessibility toolbar, but we have a trick that can dismiss it and remove it from the screen. Here’s what to do.

  1. Open the phone settings.
  2. Go to system settings.
  3. Then go to the accessibility option.
  4. Now tap on the Accessibility Menu option and toggle it off.
  5. Then go back and go tap on the Accessibility Button option. And from there set the size small and toggle on the ‘fade when not in use’ option, and increase the transparency when not in use bar to max.
Must Read – Doing this will not remove the accessibility toolbar. But it will make it less distracting with the fading properties. Also, note that if you don’t tap or expand the accessibility sidebar for more than hours then it will automatically get hidden permanently until you change its settings or restart your phone.
